Junior Accountant – Manila

At Fusion CX, we are seeking a talented Junior Accountant in Manila to join our team. As a crucial member of our financial division, you will be responsible for maintaining and compiling financial reports and statements in strict adherence to government regulations and requirements. Your responsibilities will include analyzing balance sheets, managing general ledger accounts, updating financial statements, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing monthly payroll, and preparing financial reports. It is a full-time role with overtime hours potentially required during tax season or at the end of the fiscal year.

Job Description:

Generally, an efficient Junior Accountant for our Manila team will be responsible for the following tasks and duties:

• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Updating accounts receivable and issuing invoices.
• Updating accounts payable and performing reconciliations.

• Assisting in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assisting with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned to the junior accountant.
• Updating financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available whenever it is required.
• Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports
• Assisting senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assisting with various accounting projects

Job Requirements:

A Junior Accountant must possess the following qualifications and qualities to be successful in this role at Fusion CX Manila:

• A BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field is essential.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ideal candidates should have excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP).
• Proven experience as a junior accountant is essential for this role.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Exceptional organizing abilities with great attention to detail.
