Job Description

Here is what you will do as a Korean bilingual customer service associate in Manila:

  • Apply the healthcare client’s Five Service Principles to deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Educate members, families, providers, and caregivers on benefits and plan options.
  • Accurately explain benefits and plan options in person, via email, or over the phone.
  • Provide follow-up with members to clarify issues, determine causes, and explain solutions.
  • Escalate member issues to management or other departments when necessary.
  • Consistently meet or exceed departmental standards for quality, productivity, schedule adherence, attendance, and more attributes.
  • Respond promptly to member’s or internal staff’s inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, referrals, claims, departmental policies and procedures, job aids, and other issues through calls or written communication.
  • Take ownership of member issues, focusing on providing solutions and options for resolution as a healthcare customer service associate in this role.
  • Increase member satisfaction by efficiently resolving issues, complaints, and questions.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with providers and other departments as needed.
  • Participate in member-calling projects to support the client’s membership retention goals.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and job aids to maintain efficient and compliant operations.
  • Communicate suggestions for improvement to management and identify and report workflow problems according to departmental procedures.
  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as a customer service associate in the Manila team.
  • Adhere to all Federal and State regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines as per clients’ policy, procedure, and operational needs.
  • Documents transactions by completing applicable member forms, summarizing actions taken in the appropriate computer system, and following standards set by the department or by other authorized individuals.
  • Responds to routine member questions and concerns on specific medical group call queues as part of skill

Job Requirements

Here are the educational qualifications, experience, and skills required to succeed in this role of Korean bilingual customer service associate at Fusion CX Manila:

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years of call center or related customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience with Medicare benefits, including Medicare Advantage Plans preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare, insurance, or pharmacy industry is highly desirable for this Korean bilingual customer service role in Manila.
  • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor, even in highly charged situations.
  • Proficiency in data entry and general computer skills (word processing, email).
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Professional and pleasant telephone manner.
  • Ability to handle large call volumes while providing excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated efficiency and effectiveness in a high call volume environment.
  • Business-level fluency in English is necessary for the customer service associate role and must be able to communicate well in Korean.
