Job Description – Travel Support Consultant
About the Role
As a Travel Support Consultant, you will assist travel agents and apps (“merchants”) by managing bookings, resolving issues, and providing expert-level support through phone, email, and live chat. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless travel experience for thousands of customers, from handling voluntary flight changes to resolving policy escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer queries via email, phone, and live chat
- Manage voluntary and involuntary flight changes, ticketing issues, and refunds
- Collaborate closely with airlines and ensure compliance with industry policies
- Provide feedback to enhance the products and user experience
- Support internal training, reconciliation, and escalations when needed
Job Requirements – Travel Support Consultant
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience using a GDS (Travelport/Galileo preferred).
- Strong command of air fares, ticketing rules, change handling, and refund policies
- Exposure to NDC platforms like Farelogix SPRK or IAG TAP preferred
- Experience using Zendesk for chat, voice, and email; BSP Link/ARC knowledge is a plus
- Fluent in German (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker and team player who goes the extra mile
Shift Details
- Must be available to work during Pacific Time business hours
- Flexibility is required for weekend and rotational shifts
