About the Role

As a Team Leader – Collections, you will supervise and guide a team of collection executives managing delinquent accounts. You will be responsible for driving recovery performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high levels of team productivity and customer engagement. This banking collections role requires strong leadership, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage escalations in a dynamic collections environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of collection executives handling delinquent accounts
  • Ensure achievement of the monthly, quarterly, and annual collection targets
  • Monitor team performance through dashboards, MIS reports, and regular reviews
  • Allocate cases/accounts to team members and track resolution progress
  • Handle escalated cases and negotiate with high-value or sensitive customers
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, legal, and ethical collection practices
  • Coordinate with legal, operations, and credit teams for recovery actions
  • Conduct field visits for critical or high-priority accounts when required
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve productivity and quality

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Graduate (mandatory)
  • Experience in collections, recovery, or call center operations preferred
  • Prior experience in team handling or supervisory roles is an advantage
