About the Role
As a Junior Quality Engineer at Fusion CX, you will work on software quality assurance activities, performing manual and automation testing to help ensure product reliability and performance. You will design test scenarios, identify and document defects, validate APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle. You will also support production issue resolution, deployment activities, and improvements to automation and CI/CD processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and acceptance testing to verify software quality.
- Design detailed test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects with clear and accurate replication steps.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the sprint lifecycle.
- Provide regular testing updates and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Handle production issues effectively and support deployment activities.
- Work with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Support CI/CD integration using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Contribute to automation readiness and test framework improvements.
- Perform API validation and database checks to support software testing and quality assurance.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Engineering (QE) roles.
- SaaS Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a SaaS environment. This is mandatory.
- Education: Graduation.
- Manual Testing: Experience in manual, functional, and regression testing.
- Automation Testing: Exposure to automation testing and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile methodology and the software sprint lifecycle.
- Testing Tools: Experience with Jira/Xray and API validation.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of SQL and database validation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to design test scenarios, document defects, and communicate findings clearly.
