HR Recruiter – Contract & High-Volume Hiring – Kolkata, India

Build the talent pipeline behind fast-moving hiring programs. Fusion CX is hiring HR Recruiters in Kolkata, India to support high-volume recruitment and onboarding for contractual, freelance, and gig-based assignments across multiple roles and eligible geographies. If you have experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, high-volume hiring, staffing, BPO recruitment, technology recruitment, AI/data hiring, or gig hiring, this opportunity will involve managing candidates from sourcing and screening through assessment, selection, documentation, and joining.

Job Description:

Role Purpose

The HR Recruiter will support rapid, high-volume hiring for contractual, freelance, and gig-based assignments across multiple roles and eligible geographies. The role will manage the candidate journey from sourcing through joining, including attracting qualified talent, screening candidates for role and location eligibility, coordinating assessments, maintaining candidate engagement, completing documentation, and supporting smooth onboarding.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working to daily funnel targets, short turnaround times, and changing hiring priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Source candidates for contractual and gig roles through job portals, professional networks, social media, referrals, communities, and recruitment partners.
• Publish accurate job advertisements and clearly communicate project scope, engagement type, pay structure, expected availability, and location restrictions.
• Screen candidates for skills, experience, communication ability, geography, availability, rate alignment, and willingness to work on contract or task-based assignments.
• Build and maintain role-specific talent pools for repeat and time-sensitive requirements.
• Coordinate assessments, interviews, and calibration sessions; follow up proactively to reduce candidate drop-off.
• Manage offers, candidate queries, documentation, background information, and onboarding checklists.
• Ensure selected candidates complete agreements, required forms, system access, and joining activities within agreed timelines.
• Maintain accurate daily recruitment funnel data covering sourced, screened, assessed, selected, offered, joined, and deployment-ready candidates.
• Flag risks relating to insufficient pipeline, compensation, geography, assessment delays, no-shows, or joining attrition.
• Partner with delivery, quality, HR operations, and commercial teams to ensure candidates are ready for productive deployment.
• Follow candidate-data privacy, confidentiality, and ethical recruitment requirements at every stage.

Job Requirements:

Required Experience & Skills

• 2–5 years of recruitment experience.
• Experience in high-volume recruitment, staffing, BPO, technology, AI/data, or gig hiring is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and candidates concurrently.
• Strong sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate-engagement skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and applicant-tracking or recruitment systems.
• Comfortable working with performance targets, rapid turnaround times, and flexible work priorities.
