About the Role
As a Field Executive – Financial Investigation & Risk Control in Kolkata, you will support day-to-day operational activities related to fraud detection, financial investigation, and risk control monitoring. Your role will involve reviewing alerts, investigating unusual activities, analyzing operational risks, and ensuring compliance with established control frameworks. You will collaborate with multiple departments to identify potential risks, investigate discrepancies, and maintain strong governance practices across operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of the Risk Control Unit (RCU), including reviewing alerts, unusual events, and investigation cases.
- Assist with financial investigations related to suspicious transactions, operational discrepancies, and irregular account activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for risk events and assist in case resolution and closure.
- Monitor transaction activities, operational processes, and account-related events to identify potential fraud or compliance risks.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, checklists, and audit samples to ensure adherence to internal risk control policies.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as operations, finance, and HR to ensure awareness and implementation of preventive risk measures.
- Conduct periodic sampling of transactions, vendor onboarding activities, payroll changes, and other operational events to validate compliance.
- Analyse trends related to fraud risk, unusual events, and operational anomalies.
- Prepare periodic risk and compliance reports for management, highlighting findings and recommendations.
- Support collaboration with internal audit, legal, compliance teams, and regulatory authorities when required.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting operational teams and vendors involved in RCU activities.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduation (mandatory)
- Experience in operations, financial investigation, risk control, compliance, or fraud detection preferred
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Good understanding of operational risk monitoring and compliance processes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel and Word
- Ability to analyse data and identify irregular patterns
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a structured Work From Office (WFO) environment
