About the Role

As a Customer Service Associate – Member Support, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service by applying defined service principles while supporting members, families, providers, and caregivers. You will handle enquiries related to benefits, eligibility, referrals, and claims, ensuring accurate communication, issue ownership, and timely resolution in line with documented policies and procedures.

Professional proficiency in French is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service by applying defined service principles consistently
  • Educate members, families, providers, and caregivers regarding benefits and plan options
  • Accurately explain benefits and plan details in person, via email, or telephonically
  • Provide follow-up by clarifying member issues, identifying root causes, and explaining solutions
  • Take ownership of member issues through resolution, offering appropriate solutions and options
  • Escalate issues to management or relevant departments when required
  • Respond to telephonic and written enquiries related to benefits, eligibility, referrals, claims, and other member concerns
  • Consistently meet or exceed departmental standards for quality, productivity, schedule adherence, and attendance
  • Increase member satisfaction through timely, accurate, and efficient issue resolution
  • Coordinate with providers and internal departments to resolve member concerns
  • Participate in member calling projects to support retention and service goals
  • Follow all documented policies, procedures, and job aids to maintain compliant operations
  • Identify workflow issues and recommend process improvements to management
  • Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Adhere to all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Follow all data privacy and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA requirements
  • Document all transactions accurately in designated systems, including actions taken and outcomes
  • Respond to routine member enquiries on assigned medical group call queues to support skill development

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Graduation from a recognized institution

Language Requirement

  • Professional proficiency in French is required for this role

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in customer service, member support, or contact center operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex benefit and plan information clearly and accurately
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
