Job Description

As a Patient Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting patients warmly and professionally, scheduling appointments, collecting the necessary paperwork, and asking health behavioral health questions.
  • Conducting preliminary patient intake assessments, collecting basic information, and understanding their needs and concerns.
  • Schedule appointments with appropriate providers based on individual needs and treatment plans.
  • Provide clear and concise information about our services and treatment programs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records following HIPAA regulations.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other team members.
  • Provide administrative support to providers and other staff, such as scheduling meetings and preparing documents.
  • Follow up with patients after appointments to ensure they are satisfied with their care and address any concerns.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment for patients and staff.
  • Stay up to date on HIPAA regulations and other relevant policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field will be preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and members of their teams.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine interest in helping others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of the information.
